Childcare
Childcare is available in our playroom during certain classes (denoted by an asterisk (*) on the schedule). If you’re planning on coming to a class and will be using childcare for that class, please email amanda@blackbirdfamilyyoga.com to let us know. Obviously we can’t always know how our mornings will go – oftentimes our plans go out the window – but if you have the intention of coming, go ahead and send an email the night before or morning of the class. This will help us prepare, so that we always have ample staff/ coverage in the playroom to keep both mamas and kiddos happy.
When used with class passes, childcare is free for the first child, and $5 per additional child. For drop-in classes, childcare is $5 per child. Childcare is free for annual members. Enjoy your practice more while knowing your child is being cared for by qualified adults in the very next room!
Childcare Policies:
- Parent/guardian must be on site taking a yoga class while child is being cared for.
- If a child is inconsolable during the class session, the parent/guardian may be asked to leave class to attend to the child. (Only after using heroic efforts to console the little one!)
- Please make sure your child has used the restroom before your class, or that your child has a fresh diaper.
- Please note that Blackbird is a nut-free zone. Help us keep everyone safe and happy!
- Please use your best judgment in terms of your child’s health; if your child is ill, please do not risk getting others sick by bringing him/her in for childcare. Blackbird asks that if your child has had a fever within the last 24 hours, without the use of pain/ fever-reducing meds, please refrain from bringing him/her into the childcare room and potentially exposing other children to germs. Thank you for your understanding.
This is not your typical childcare…there will be storytimes, crafts, games, and yes, probably even some yoga!
